This is definitely going into my portfolio.

I am so extremely proud of this, when it broke halfway through I almost cried my eyes out. But I didn’t because my friend that I am apprenticing under would never forgive me. So I fixed it, and it looks even better than before. I undertook a massive amount of work when it came to detail, and I can’t believe I pulled it off.

Some of my classmates actually came up to me and told me it looked amazing. I almost cried, because usually everyone ignores me, but they went out of their way, instead of leaving right after our written final, to come up and tell me that.

WELL?

NOPE.

I’m that little hidden one because I was the last to finish and everyone else got the good spots in front of the amphitheater. I WAS however the first person to use no other color but gold dust, and I used only dark chocolate because I like the color and taste.

I AM ALSO the only person whose centerpiece is edible.

But that’s only because they all used up the freeze spray before me.

And I honestly have no idea who stole my color scheme, and decided their name was Nicki Minaj.

We did bonsai trees, because our chef wanted us to be more creative than all of the other classes.

Is it the one of two with the chocolate/gold colors because the AM Lab didn’t leave us enough white chocolate for our suns? Am I secretly Nicki Minaj?

Carrot Cake I made in my fundamentals class.

Pulled Red & Clear Isomalt Ribbons, Pulled and formed into a rose.

W/ clear dew drops.

(I wish I had better pictures, sorry you can’t see it, but it’s actually very shiny and the dew looks realistic)

Fondant Roses

These were modeled after parade roses given to me by my mother when I was little. They are completely from memory, no reference used.
